Mariscos German Beyer - San Diego

Finding Mariscos

On the way back to work from Tijuana, I finally made it to Mariscos German Beyer for the fish tacos.  It was certainly worth trying as we were in a hurry to get back to the office and avoid rush hour traffic.  Unable to score any decent tacos in TJ this time around, we were relegated to getting lunch on the US side as we pushed to leave the TJ office in a hurry.

Fortunate for us Mariscos German Beyer is right off of the 905 as we exited TJ.  We arrived to the quiet parking lot with unsure expectations.  There were a 4 other customers waiting for their orders, so we took our time to decide what to get.  Once our orders were placed, we were offered some soup to enjoy while waiting. This was a nice touch to provide a piquant tomato broth to whet our appetites.  The fish tacos arrived with a nicely battered and fried piece of fish, some cabbage, pico de gallo, and shot of creama.  Three different salsas are provided from mild to more than mild to pump up the heat level.

I also had a mixta tostada that was piled high with shrimp, pulpo, and some fish.  This was enough to share since it came with a second tostada.  This meal definitely helped wipe away the regret of not having tacos in TJ.

If you find your way crossing back from TJ via Otay Mesa, make a stop at Mariscos German Beyer for some fine fish tacos and ceviche.
